Open your web browser and load the DSS
training site at https://training.dss.un.org

Yes. Log in using the form in the top box
and proceed to step 2.

After you log in, you will see a list of courses
available. Select the course you want and click
on its title to access it.
If this is your first time in the course, you will
be taken to another page with a button named
"Enroll". Click in this button to enroll and access
After you successfully enroll in a course, click
on the title to enter the Course Page, containing information on the course, including description, structure and the actual course materials.
Please take some time to explore this page.
There are 7 modules and you must complete
all of them to get the certificate. Each module,
with the exception of Module 1, has an
assessment that you need to pass with a grade
of 80% or above. If you fail, you may retake the

Close the window after you are done with the
module and passed the assessment.
Important: if you see a message alerting you

When you close the window containing the
actual course material, you will be facing the
default module form (see right).
At this point, you have 2 options:
1) Return to the course's main page.
You can do that by either clicking on the
"exit activity" link on the right or by clicking on
the course's name, from the breadcrumb
2) Continue with the other modules.
Feel free to use the navigation menu on the
right to access the other modules.
After you have completed the entire course,
There will be a congratulatory message at the
bottom of the course's page, containing a link
for you to download and/ or print your certificate.
Make sure to save if for your records. This
certificate will be valid for a period of 3 years
after its issue date.
Hint: You may re-issue your certificate by
clicking on the course's page. The certificate
will display the date it was originally completed.
